When Penguins Attack, Antarctica by Paulina Tikunova
I like how immediately your attention goes gravitates to the opened and wide mouth of the penguin in front of you. I suppose that the person who captured this photography must have been kneel down or laid on his or her stomach, pointing the camera upwards to one single direction. This photograph also gives you more to see in the background, like the fellow penguins and clear, gloomy, icy background. But, the focus of this photograph is the penguin with the wide open mouth.

Cracking The Surface, Lake Baikal by Paulina Tikunova
This photography makes your eyes seemingly follow the cracked line starting from the bottom middle of the picture to the end of the horizon. It has a nice blend of warm to cool colors. The lighting of the sun at dawn gives the photograph a shine to it. This photograph for some reason makes me believe it could be used for a global warming issue on a National Geographic magazine.

Simplicity- this is used when you want to give more detail to one single objective
Catching the light by Tamaar
I like that this photograph focuses on one subject, that is the open hand of a man. It looks as if he's reaching up to the light. This sort of gives you a reilgious affiliation vibe. The point of simplicity is expressed perfectly here because it's only gives you attention to one point of view. We've all seen the photos in black and white, most of the time those photos turn out to be more dramatic in a way because of the filter of the color tends to make it look that way. Depressing, sad and dramatic if that makes sense.

Spotlight by Joseph Boss- Once again your attention is focused on one singular object, the monkey. The dark background emphaises the monkey. To me personally, I can see this photograph fit for a horror movie trailer. It almost makes the monkey look haunted in a certain way. It all depends on how you interpret the picture, that is what makes a photograph special.
